Ever since I've had the basic sense to understand this feeling called 'love'. I have had a decent number of encounters which stood in the opposite to this whole concept.
Let's begin from the beginning. My definition of loving someone is the seed that was sown in my heart by my folks (family and close friends). Where love meant all about caring for your close people, being there in times good or bad, making them smile, and so on.
As years passed by, and puberty stuck; my meaning of love and the way it should be projected took another turn. Where at most places or instances the term love is confined to just a lover or a partner; my idea to express it and to whom - is totally obscure.
I've been a true believer in communicating as much as I can. From being a bullied & a braise-faced girl back in school to being a confident and outspoken person today; I've learned the magic of speaking my heart out, to whoever I connect with.
For me 'I love you' is not just what I'd tell my lover or parents. Love is eternal, and everyone & everything I've ever connected with has made a difference to my current self - making themselves entitled to the love.
I love them. I love the young and silly crushes, I love the paper notes. I love the sound of the rain drops, I love the faults in myself, I love the hand-made gifts from people - which made them special with the gesture. I love the strangers whom I met at different times of life, and now, life would seem strange without them. I love the feeling of being in love, and also, when falling for someone makes it a beautiful illusion. Love is a small word but withholds a strong meaning to it.
I think love is just restricted to what you feel for just 1 person. No, if you ask me - for me love is in everything around me. I have always been a sucker for passionate love, love in watching the birds flying high, love in staring at the stars on a dark night, love in sharing your coffee with someone, love is within me, within you, outside me - outside you. It's all around if you try and see it.
Love needs no backing or justification, love is what you feel when you look at someone, love is the empathy for your close people, love is the flutter that makes you insane. We are all capable to just love and love more with each passing day of life. Hate is just a strong word, we are not entitled to hate anyone. As much as we may not like something or someone- we just 'feel' we hate them- but in reality, we don't hate them. We just don't like them much. There's a strong difference here, you see.
Well, I may not be with that someone whom I love the most always, I may not love someone else the same way, I may never fall in love with things around. But between all these things, one thing is sure - Love will always find its way to my heart. A person who is a hopeless believer in love, in any form.
Keep loving and spreading it across. Say your 'I love you' to all those people who matter the most to you, who've made a major change in your life, who've taught you sweet lessons of life, who have made you experience the ups and downs. Say your 'I love you' today, because tomorrow feels forever away.
